ASTM A106 steel pipe is a carbon steel piping material that is commonly used to manufacture piping components in oil and gas refineries, power plants, boilers, and the transportation of high-pressure and high-temperature fluids and gases.

 

A106 is divided into three grades, namely Grade A, Grade B and Grade C, each grade has different chemical composition and mechanical properties. Grade A is generally used for higher temperature and pressure applications, while Grade C is used for lower temperature and pressure applications.

 

A106 Gr B carbon steel pipe has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. It is commonly used to manufacture pipeline components that need to withstand high temperatures and pressures, such as oil and gas refineries, power plants, and high-pressure fluid transportation pipelines.

 

A106 Gr B pipe material is often surface treated to enhance its corrosion resistance and service life. This zinc coating can effectively protect pipes from corrosion and oxidation, thereby extending their service life.
